R[eff]UGE: July 2014 to September 2015 Plymouth

July 2014 – October 2016: collaborative curating project at our gallery, Radiant, in Plymouth, UK

ANNOUNCED JUNE 2016 AS FINALIST: ARTS PROJECT OF THE YEAR, NATIONAL LOTTERY AWARDS

A unique and ground-breaking action research project looking at methodologies and impact of collaborative curating with children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Effervescent has created the only professional contemporary art gallery in the UK which is curated only through socially-engaged curatorial practices.  We are currently working with children and young people from across Plymouth to design and create vibrant, authentic exhibitions with subject matter which is relevant and honest.  You can find out more about the shows and how to get involved by visiting the Radiant website.

Interested in socially-engaged curating?  We’ll be linking some articles on how we do it here in the next few days…
